Results and Standings after Raleigh SCX5 - Irvine
Freezing conditions and well-received tweaks to the course led to some fantastic racing at Raleigh SCX5 - Irvine at the weekend. Wins in the Senior races for Isla Short and Harry Johnston means Kerry McPhee now trails Jane Barr the top of the Women’s Series, while Harry Johnston sits 30 points clear of Gary MacDonald with 2 races remaining. The weekend was also notable for the return to the podium for former National Champions Craig Hardy (V40) and Rab Wardell (Seniors).

Results and Standings after Raleigh SCX4
Yesterday saw riders battle the Fife College mud at Round 4 of the Raleigh SCX Series, hosted by Dunfermline CC. Heavy conditions saw some spectacular racing on this great new course, with all the racers seeing their share of slippy conditions.

Race Report: Raleigh SCX1 - Callendar Park
With 600 riders on the start sheet, it was always going to be a fantastic day of racing at the Callendar Park's Coliseum of Cross. Conditions were bright and sunny, winds were light and minimal rain on the preceding days had left the course dry and fast. This is a well-honed race - Franco and Davy know what they are doing with the venue - and the course manages to be fast, technically interesting and flowing with some features to challenge all riders. Big fields means plenty of back markers and cutting through traffic was a big feature of all the races.
Race Report: Battle of Balloch Castle 2016
BLAZING sunshine over Loch Lomond didn’t spoil the occasion as young gun Harry Johnston prevailed at the Battle of Balloch Castle CX. A pre-race deluge brought enough mud to the battlefield to test technique, on a fast and fair course that was well appreciated by more than 100 riders over two races.

Race Report: Raleigh SCX6 - Cross at the Castle & Santa CX World Championships
Many of us wondered as we queued up at the ferry terminal in Oban on the Friday whether we would get to Mull …. and whether last year’s brutal conditions were to be repeated. We needn’t have worried - Davie Graham is a wonderful organiser and making sure the Sound of Mull calmed down for a wee while to let us cross was no bother to him. Moreover, he arranged for a fantastic weekend of weather to mark the tenth running of this race.
Raleigh SCX Series 2015 - Final Standings
In September Raleigh UK were annouced as sponsors for the SCX Series races. This year the Raleigh SCX Series consisted of 6 races, with SCX5 - Irvine also hosting the Scottish CX Championships. With racer numbers at several events over of over 500 riders, and races spread from Aberdeenshire to Ayrshire, the Series this year continued to grow in both size and scope.
Race Report: Scottish CX Champs/Raleigh SCX5 - Irvine
It couldn't have been better. With the rest of the country seemingly under water and grinding to a halt, the organisers at Irvine put on a cracker of a course and some fantastic racing. High winds, heavy rain and biting cold were minor distractions to the riders tackling the big dipper, sand pits, steep run-ups and off-camber sections. The course was so well judged that all sections were ridable but only if you were skilled enough. Sheer power was not enough to get a result - finesse, chutspah and careful choice of tyre pressures were required as well.
Race Results: SCX3 - Strathclyde Park
This weekend saw the end of Summer Cross Season and the return of mud, with some epic racing at Strathclyde Park. Full results are now up courtesy of Mark Young.
