Race Preview - Beveridge Park Grand Prix of Cyclocross
Fife’s summer of cycling is set to close with another flagship cycling event for Fife – a cyclocross race at Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy next month.
Portage Cycling have paired up with the Council’s Active Fife team to deliver the Beveridge Park Grand Prix, the park’s first ever cyclocross race, on Sunday 6th September 2015.
Race Report: Inch Park Junior Cyclocross
Some great racing was had on Saturday afternoon at Edinburgh RC's Inch Park Junior Cyclocross Races. A big field of over 120 riders had entered from all over the country for the early season opener. The course was dry and fast but very technical in places with a tough climb and fast cornering descent.
Race Report: Raleigh SCX2 - Knockburn Loch
Sunday dawned cool and frosty For Raleigh SCX 2 at Knockburn Loch, NE Scotland’s longest established cyclocross venue. With the course set and taped the day before, Race Director Iain Pryde and his motley gang of DTCC volunteers were relieved that Knockburn’s legendary course flattening winds didn’t spring up overnight.
Race Report: Plean CX
By Owen Phillipson. This year cyclocross returned to Plean Country Park for the first time since 2011, when Stirling Bike Club ran a round of the Scottish Cyclocross Association series.
The course had changed quite a bit from previous editions of the race, with more tarmac and hard-packed paths interspersed with an offroad section with hurdles and a downhill offcamber corner and a muddy, rooty technical section.
Beveridge Park Racers Return for Cyclocross Shootout.
Portage Cycling have again paired up with Fife Council’s Active Fife team to deliver the second Beveridge Park Grand Prix of Cyclocross. The event which forms the third round of the Super Quaich Winter Series will be held on Sunday 7th February 2016.
The sell out event has over 200 riders signed up to take on the challenging tarmac and grassland circuit of 1.2 miles in an exciting A and B race format.
