Raleigh SCX Series 2016 - Entries Open Sep 1st
As has become traditional, entries to the Raleigh SCX 2016 Series Races open on September 1st.
This year sees a new race, at Fife College in Dunfermline, join the line up. Callendar Park provides the traditional season opener, before the action heads north to Knockburn Loch near Banchory.
Record-breaking entries in the first Raleigh SCX Series race of 2016
The first race in the 2016 Raleigh SCX Series takes place at Callendar Park, Falkirk this weekend, and a record breaking 600 riders have signed up across all age groups. Organisers Franco Porco and Davie Lines have made several tweaks to the course, and the huge numbers of riders entered is testament to their vision and hard work developing the iconic Callendar Park course over the last 5 years.
Raleigh announced as headline SCX sponsor
SCX are pleased to announce that Raleigh UK are the new headline sponsors of the Scottish Cyclocross Race Series. The deal, which runs for 3 years from Sep 1st 2015, is worth a minimum of £5000 per year and will see the Nottingham based firm provide race-day support, product prizes for youth races, branded giveaways and a top prize of a year’s bike sponsorship from Raleigh.
Raleigh SCX Series 2015 - Final Standings
In September Raleigh UK were annouced as sponsors for the SCX Series races. This year the Raleigh SCX Series consisted of 6 races, with SCX5 - Irvine also hosting the Scottish CX Championships. With racer numbers at several events over of over 500 riders, and races spread from Aberdeenshire to Ayrshire, the Series this year continued to grow in both size and scope.
