Cyclocross is widely regarded as the most family-friendly introduction to cycle sport, for a number of reasons. The courses are short, generally forming loops of a few hundred metres, and never very technical.
Raleigh SCX Series 2016 - Entries Open Sep 1st
As has become traditional, entries to the Raleigh SCX 2016 Series Races open on September 1st.
This year sees a new race, at Fife College in Dunfermline, join the line up. Callendar Park provides the traditional season opener, before the action heads north to Knockburn Loch near Banchory.
2x10: Matt & Elisa Smith
Welcome to our first 2x10, a variation to our normal 1x10 where we plan to stoke sibling rivalries, find out parent's worst habits and pit couple against couple for your reading pleasure. First up are Velo Club Moulin riders Elisa and Matt Smith. With a top 10 in the Scottish CX Series for Elisa, and a top 20 for Matt (plus a podium spot), the 2015-2016 season panned out pretty well for them.
Race Preview - Glasgow Cross 2015 Cancelled
James Murray, organiser of Glasgow Cross, has announced today that the race has been postponed. He is now on the lookout for a suitable replacement venue. If you know of any potential, non-Council owned alternative venues in Glasgow, please get in touch with James through the SCX site.
