Entries are now open for the Haddo Dirt Crit, (Saturday 25th February) hosted by Ythan CC. This great youth only race race takes place in the grounds of Haddo House in NE Scotland, and features CX/MTB racing for age groups U8 to U14 on a rolling, grassy course.
Race Preview - Grampian Tigers Dirt Crit, Knockburn Loch
The first weekend in October is shaping up to be an extremely busy couple of days for cyclocross fans in NE Scotland. Hot on the heels of Alford CX 2015 on Saturday Oct 3rd, Grampian Tigers will be holding their annual Dirt Crit CX/MTB races for 5–16 year olds on Sunday 4th October at Knockburn Loch.
Race Report: Raleigh SCX1 - Callendar Park
The Raleigh Scottish Cyclocross Series kicked off under the usual azure blue skies of Falkirk at the Callendar Park Amphitheatre of ’cross - surely Scotland’s best and most “cross” course. A mixture of fast descents, off camber corners, steep stairs and slidey zig zags makes this a fast and exciting course with plenty of technical challenge. Conditions looked dry but the course was slippier than it looked and most riders dropped their tyre pressures after practice.
Race Report: Raleigh SCX2 - Knockburn Loch
Sunday dawned cool and frosty For Raleigh SCX 2 at Knockburn Loch, NE Scotland’s longest established cyclocross venue. With the course set and taped the day before, Race Director Iain Pryde and his motley gang of DTCC volunteers were relieved that Knockburn’s legendary course flattening winds didn’t spring up overnight.
