Entry open for Dig in at the Dock

Entry applications for Dig in at the Dock 2017 have been open for a few days now and entries are rolling in. This includes both the race on Sunday the 19th February and the cyclocross clinics with Helen and Stef Wyman on Saturday the 18th of February.

The racing

Entry for the race will be open until at least Sunday the 8th of January and then the organisers will begin selecting the field.

“We won’t as much be closing entries as beginning to select the field after that” Says co-organiser David Hamill. “Only when the field is full will we close entries and email all of the unsuccessful entrants to notify them that they didn’t get in this year. We won’t be replacing riders so if you don’t get in then unfortunately that’s it. You won’t be riding this year.”

There are 230 places available across 2 races (Elite and Support) which will be selected using the following system

·       90 entrants will be selected based on having the fastest lap times in the SCX series races

·       70 entrants selected by random computer selection

·       70 entrants selected by organisers’ judgement

The cross clinics

The cyclocross clinic places are available at a first-come first-serve basis. There is a free one-hour clinic for under 16s in the morning and a two-hour clinic for 16 yrs+ in the afternoon (£30).

How to enter

Entry for the race and the clinics are done on separate forms but both are available via the ‘Sign up’ button on the Dig in at the Dock page on Entry Central.

Any questions you have about the clinics or the race itself can be done via Facebook or Twitter or by emailing daviehamillAThotmailDOTcom.
