SCX Major Events Fund

Proposal 1 for a Major Events Fund was adopted by a majority vote at the SCX AGM on 29th March 2026. The SCX Committee has implemented this through a formal process set out in the Scheme of Governance.

How to apply to the SCX Major Events Fund

Each Season the SCX Committee invites bids from Scottish organisers for help with hosting a major cyclo-cross event in Scotland. Who can apply, how bids are assessed and the conditions of grant are all set out in the Scheme of Governance.

Submitting a bid

Email your bid to hello@scottishcx.org.uk by the deadline below. There is no application form. A short document is enough, as long as it covers:

your organisation's details, including its Scottish Cycling affiliation number and the officer authorised to sign for it;
the event's name, status, proposed date(s), venue and category programme;
the eligibility and deliverability points in sections 11 and 12 of the Scheme, including a costed budget that shows the grant as one line and states the amount you are asking for;
any calendar or registration deadline you need to meet, so the Committee can consider an in-principle Award; and
any connection between your organisation, or anyone involved in the event, and a member of the SCX Committee.

Timeline

No Awards are made for events in the 2026/27 Season. The Levy collected in 2026/27 will support an event in the 2027/28 Season.
